The radio was one of the biggest inventions for Canadians. The radio was able to play music, news, and voices that could now be listened to from almost anywhere. Finally people that lived on farms or outside the city were now not isolated from the community. They could finally communicate with others and know more about news in the world. One of peoples favorite things to listen to was the Montreal Hockey games. The frist radio's were not very loud and people had to listen throught earphones if they wanted clearer sound. Radio's were bulit in elaborate woden cabinets. They were soon upgraded and tubes replaced the crystal and whisker, an speakers replaced ear phones. The new radios were battery less and sold for 50$. Radio's changed the lives of Canadian's, forever.
